Let's start with the positives. The staff are friendly and attentive. The positives end there.

If you don't fancy reading on - save yourself a disappointing experience and find somewhere else to go.

The Arancini was pathetic, tasteless and overcooked, laying in a miserable puddle of tasteless green stuff, which I'm assuming was meant to be pesto.

Bruschetta was tasteless with the exception of tomatoes which I'm fairly sure came out of a jar.

Calzone were the biggest disappointment. No exaggeration - pretty much nothing but processed dough, and what little fillings there were tasted of nothing. Plasticky cheese, processed 'meat balls' and the most tasteless pepperoni I've ever had the misfortune to eat.

My partners vegetarian calzone contained clearly microwaved courgettes. What a joke.

They didn't even pretend that the parmesan was proper parmesan - it came in the supermarket style shaker, only with the label ripped off. Again, tasted of nothing.

Basically we paid £50 for a meal that was almost entirely dough - and I'm pretty sure that dough would have come premade on the bake of a Brakes Bros lorry - just like the other ingredients.

I can't remember the last time I ate a meal that was so devoid of flavor and nutritional value. Tasteless, low quality rubbish.

Wonder why the high street is struggling? Because too many places openly rip off their customers, just like these...

I absolutely love this place. I’m a BIG pizza fan. I’m not going to pretend I know anything about what makes one pizza better than another, but, I like to think I know when it’s good at the very least!

We’ve been here now 3 or 4 times as a couple and as a family with our children. It’s one place my kids always finish every scrap of food. The pizzas are fantastic, both in size and quality. The service has always been great too.

One thing I absolutely adored was the music! My wife is sick of me saying it to her, but I was so pleasantly surprised to hear such a variety of music being played some of which was really aligned with my own taste. I only mention it because you don’t often hear, Offspring, the Used and Counting Crows playing in a restaurant. Please don’t let this deter anyone as it’s not loud and we heard such a variety including chart hits etc. I could’ve sat there all night eating and tapping my feet!

If you’ve not been, go! Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff and lovely pizza! Get...

Food Is Great, It Really really is, Pizza to pasta all delicious, but for me the Service is to be Desired. Let me be clear, not the customer service, the operating service, credit goes to the great customer service in-house from the chef to the waitress, I cannot fault it. Me and the Family have eaten in and had take away a few times, but when we have tried to order using the offers from the restaurant we have been told a Hard no. Mothers day we tried to get the march meal deal but was told no due to only operating the mothers day offer to simplify the menu for the chef, I understand that. Still disappointing! And then we try again today to only be told that the offers only Tuesday to Friday. Please add this to your flyers! This is the 2nd time we've not ordered because of mis-information on the flyer. I can honestly say the confusion has been more than enough to send us elsewhere...

We have been to all of Rusticos restaurants as we love their pizzas! Authentic Italian food. Friendly staff that let our daughter test the pepperoni before we ordered to see how spicy it was. Lovely fresh ingredients, cold drinks AND cold glasses! Only marked down on atmosphere as sadly we were the only people at midday lunch, this place should be packed as great food from an independent business. We went back a few days later as we liked it so much! And wanted to try different dishes. Garlic pizza bread starter was great to share as a family. My son tried the carbonara too and loved it. Tiramisu cocktail was delicious and puddings all delicious too. Sadly too far from our home for us to go more often!

The pizza filling tasted ok but the crust was burnt. The waiter offered to replace the pizza but the replacement was also burnt, though not as much. The chef said if the crust wasn't burnt then the filling would be raw. Well, I've eaten a fair few pizzas, including deep pan, and they weren't all burnt! In the photo, I've removed some of the burnt crust onto the plate to the right. The prices and service were good though. So if you don't mind a bit of charcoal and are looking for reasonable priced food, then Rustico is an option. The pizza in the photo is called a Vesuvio and costs £7.95. It's not as big as a regular pizza but comes with French fries.
