Henry Paddon Contemporary Art — Attraction in Eastbourne

Situation happened a few months ago but nevertheless appalling. My girlfriend kept going on about this shop and the cool things she wanted for our new home and guess what? The owner (or at least the man present sat down on the right of the shop) couldn't care less she was standing in front of him waiting to be served. The gentleman looked at her and continued talking with two friends who weren't even in the shop to purchase. If my girlfriend had been wearing something more contemporary and fashionable, maybe she would have been served - she was wearing a gym tracksuit -.

To ensure my girlfriend wasn't exaggerating i've been in there and chose to wear my gym clothes and I'm certainly not impressed.

Words of advice - if you have a customer serve them....

Absolutely beautiful gallery with so much to chose from. Extremely good quality pieces. Standards are high but prices are very realistic. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal. Plenty of time and space is allowed to browse at leisure and owner is always willing to give information of individual artists. Always inspired by the music too. One of the best shops in...

some very nice artwork .... although proprietor sharply objected to me taking a picture ... therefore a website with prices would be helpful ... (probably should have asked but i was taking the picture for a person who cannot get out easily and didn't see...
