Blackbird Café — Restaurant in Eastleigh

Hubby & I stopped for breakfast this morning at this great little community cafe.

It was easy to find inside the very modern main building beside a large car park and with easy level access to the outside patio seating area. Inside tables were also available.

The sun was out and there were plenty of people walking their dogs on the footpaths around what looks to be a a peaceful wooded area with plenty of nature trees.

We ordered beans on toast, crumpets, and a pot of tea for two.

The food was very good and we even had a top up in our teapot! Lovely!

Great value for money at £8.90 :)

Planned to meet relatives here as it was halfway between our travel destinations...checked Google and the cafe's own information stating clearly that it was open on Wednesday at 11am. Drove 1.5 hours to get there. Met relatives. CAFE CLOSED. NO TABLES, SEATS, OR BENCHES. PITA AND EMBARRASSING WASTE OF TIME. Sort it out...and I suggest not visiting until they decide to show potential customers some basic...

Didn’t like it at all - expensive, tea is cold and extremely weak, cakes like pieces of concrete - cold and hard, tasteless. Too many dogs inside - they bark all the time, can’t hear anything. Apart from some crisps nothing to eat at all. But quite nice terrace outside, good location and quite friendly staff. But neither proper breakfast nor good lunch or even nice ice cream you...
