Came here with friends on Valentine's Day. All our meals were awful.first it was the onion bhajis they came out really hard and hard to swallow they were the worst onion bhajis that we've ever had. We've been to this restaurant quite a few times over the years and the last time we went there the food was fantastic that was back in November last year I don't know if it was the same chef but if it was he was definitely having a bad night that day.last year I had a vegetarian meal with the deep-fried potatoes in a lovely red sauce with tasted quite coconutty and spicy when I asked for the same thing this time all got was this orange horrible sauce that's tasted quite vinegary and it definitely wasn't the same thing I had last year it was awful.it took them ages to come to our table to a ask what drinks we wanted, and eventually when they did arrive at the table, I asked for a wine and I also asked for a jug of water, an hour later the water hadn't arrived so I asked another waiter and he said the water will be coming straight away but then after half an hour the water still wasn't here so I literally had to go to the bar and asks for a jug of water,he picked up a jar which already had some water in it,(must have been left from somebody else that had the water earlier)and and I was made to take the jug to the table myself and collect 4 glasses as well he didn't offer to help me at all. When we told the waiter about the over cooked onion bhajis he just said well he brought them out 20mins ago, which was rediculous because my boyfriend and I started eating ours straight away.and they were still a burnt oil tasting crispy mess. We did complain about the food to them they must have realised how bad it was they seem to only care about taking money off us. I think there should have been a sincere apology and we shouldn't have had to pay over £50 each for food and service none of us enjoyed. It used to be my favourite place to go on my birthdays but...

I had a disappointing experience at this Indian restaurant, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts to help others avoid the same letdown.

Firstly, the moment we entered, we were greeted by dirty linens and chair covers that clearly hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time. It was off-putting and set a negative tone for the evening. We were surprised to find the restaurant almost empty on a Friday night, which should have been a red flag. Yet, we were seated next to a family with three small children, which made the atmosphere even more chaotic and uncomfortable.

To make matters worse, our dining experience was marred by several issues. The Coke we ordered was flat and lacking any fizz, while the poppadoms were fried in oil that tasted burnt, leaving a bitter aftertaste. The dips were equally disappointing; the yogurt dip had no flavor whatsoever, and the mango chutney was spoiled—definitely not what we expected from an Indian restaurant renowned for its rich flavors.

Given the poor start, we decided against ordering any mains, as we didn’t want to put ourselves through further trouble or waste more money. Everything felt overpriced for the lack of quality we encountered.

To add to the bizarre experience, we noticed staff standing by the bar, engrossed in their phones, seemingly uninterested in the customers. It felt strange to be watched while enjoying our meal (or lack thereof), and it certainly didn’t create a welcoming environment.

Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant based on our experience. Poor hygiene, lackluster food, and inattentive service do not justify the high prices. There are far better Indian restaurants out there that value their customers and provide a much more enjoyable dining experience. Save your time and money and...

DONT EAT HERE!!! This was our go to curry house, however it's not anymore!! As we walked in there were one couple and a family of three adults and 2 children and that was all. As we sat down, we looked through what we were going to order and asked for water for all. The water was warm as the ice melted quickly! We ordered our food, the only good thing about this meal was the poppadoms but the salad from the sauce tray looked discoloured and the tomatoes didn't look right. Next we waited a very long time for our meals, which they got mine and my mothers correct, but not my hustands which then we started without him. My curry had a top skin (which longed like it had been sat for a while) and wasn't that hot either, when my mothers came out, she tried the tomatoes and said it tasted vingery, the rice was cold and was very dry (it looked like it had been microwaved) as we started to eat, my hustand had to watch us eating and waiting about 10/15 minutes and his came out. No apology with that it was out late and his bowl was hot, like it had come out of a microwave as you couldn't touch the bowl. The garlic nan bread wasn't hot either and looked like it had been sat there for a long time. After talking to the guy about our complaints, he didn't offer any apologies and no discount off of our food that we didn't eat! I'm so disappointed and wouldn't recommend ever coming back! You've lost your customers with poor service, unsatisfactory food and I wouldn't be surprised if we had food poisoning from...

A quick and tasty treat for a mid week meal Having been seated we were offered a straightforward food menu with an additional drinks menu. Non alcohol lager available for those driving. A couple of poppadoms with Green Yoghurt, Lime Pickle, Mango Chutney and Very hot Chilli, Tomato & Onion Salad. Some dried chilli's were delivered on request which and smoky and delicious to chew on whilst waiting for our Badi Combo Classic starter for two. The chicken on the platter was maybe a little dry, but didn't disappoint. Lamb Tikka South Indian Chilli Garlic gravy Chicken Tikka South Indian Chilli Garlic This was absolutely devine served with a Peshwari Naan & Cheese and Chilli Naan's The main course certainly packed a punch and is certainly recommended for the hot/warm chilli connoisseur. It was no trouble for the staff when asked for the remainder of the uneaten meal to be packed up for a late hotel snack. Really good service and friendly banter from the front of house staff. Even the chef made an appearance to deliver the starter, a very nice touch! The while bill for the two of use came in under £50 which was not overly expensive considering the quality and flavour. The portions are really very generous and we'll balanced.

I decided to arrange a surprise 30th birthday meal for my youngest son. The Badi Mirchi was the perfect choice .. centrally located with parking and lots of space inside. There were 24 of us in total which wasn't a problem. Syed and his staff were fabulous from the outset. Nothing was too much trouble. I was allowed to decorate the table and they were more than happy to accommodate my requests. We pre-ordered our food due to the size of the booking. On the night the service was beyond excellent and the food was superb and hot too! When catering for large numbers so often the food is served up luke warm but not at The Badi Mirchi. All the food came out quickly too. Everyone was commenting on how wonderful everything was .. the atmosphere, staff and food. It made such a change as I usually end up complaining about something but not this time. I cannot recommend The Badi Mirchi highly enough. We will definitely be returning!
