I called into Lowford Cafe this morning with a friend of mine. We had a warm welcome and ordered two lattes whilst we perused the menus. The café is bright and airy, and spotlessly clean, with plenty of tables.We were told there might be a slight wait due to the café having just received a large order, sobwere offered a complimentary coffee, which was very kind. I ordered the bubble and squeak and my mate the full English. My bubble and squeak was excellent, really tasty and went well with the bacon and eggs, which had lovely runny yolks. Read moreThe cafe is accessible by stairs or a disabled lift. Looks bright & cheery, with nice views, but the minute you got on the cafe leval it smelt like greasy Joe's cafe, just put us off. Very poor selection of cakes, & snacks none homemade, did have milk alternatives for the coffee, I asked for a coconut cappuccino, it's the worst one I've ever had, it looked & tasted like coffee made with water with the tiniest bit of milk added, & a bit of froth, It was horrible, & all the while this greasy Joe smell. A lovely menu of breakfasts ,light lunches and specials, proper dinners. Friendly staff, very accommodating, nothing too much trouble. Had the yummy carrot cake, very nice hot cappuccino, tea, and hot and filling special lunches. Couldn't fault a thing. Lift to the cafe on first floor a bonus.
