3 Stars rates it as OK and I'm afraid that's all it is! Went here when it very first opened and wasn't that impressed then, but having read the recent reviews my son and I decided to give ot another go! On arrival after sitting down we ordered two soft drinks and the chap that served us dropped the glass on the table and large shards of broken glass went everywhere just missing us... Okay, that was an accident but not a good start nonetheless. I'm genuinely marking 3 on the food.... It was avarage and the 2 slices of bread on the menu turned out to be one and a half and stale around the edges. It doesn't come as part of the meal, it's on the menu and you have to order as a side. I have to say we were rather excited with there being a great Baker a few doors down that it was going to be 2 slices from a fresh bloomer as the cost was 80p the price of a sliced white hovis loaf!!!
Anyway, another huge dissapointment was... No pickles in a fish and chip shop!!!!!!!

Read moreOut of all the fish and chip shop throughout Elmbridge, this shop far exceeds all of it competition. The food is cooked fresh, the wait is quicker than all I've tried and the staff are very efficient.
The different choices are abundant but everything still remains cooked to the highest of standard no matter what.
You can order by telephone and your meal is always ready when you are.
My favorite dish had to be the fish platter, It's a mouth watering combo of calamari, scampi, cod and haddock, if has so much flavour and the fish is cooked perfectly.
The main straple for any fish and chip shop is always the chips and the standard doesn't do here either, they are a firm 10/10.
Friday'z seems to tick all the boxes and hasn't changed its stance - everything is fresh.
The stag are friendly, efficient and always have a smile for you. And the bonus is if you want to eat in, there are plenty of chairs and tables for everyone to enjoy.
I highly recommend for anyone to try Friday'z, you won't be...
Read moreThe BEST fish and chips in the local area by some considerable margin. All fish cooked to order so a little wait will be necessary but very much worth it. The fish is not heavily battered and therefore light and crispy, the chips are double cooked in rapeseed oil from UK farms and the probably the best I've ever had from a chippy. The benfits of using this oil are twofold, it's low in saturated fats and it contains omegas 3, 6 and 9, which reduce cholesterol and help to maintain healthy joint, brain and heart functions. The staff are very friendly and there is a seating area and table service should you wish to dine in. If your in Walton, you would be foolish not to pop in and...
