Wow! This bakery is AMAZING! Walked in early on a Saturday for a coffee and a snack. It was heaving, with a queue out the door and the sweet smell of freshly baked bread. It reminded me of a traditional French boulangerie. The coffee was delicious and the Pastel da nata was out of this world - crispy outside, moist inside and filled with the most delightful custard. I was also convicted to try a charcoal ciabatta - soft, fluffy and light. Excellent. I am looking forward to my next trip to my local bakery and the lovely ladies who run it! Thanks all!

The stars are for the experience and would love to give 5 as you were recommended however the bread fantastic but oh dear the steak and ale pie at £3.95 very disappointing and ended up in the bin. Pastry was really good but the contents lacked flavour tenderness of meat and hardly any gravy.Shame!!!

Our regular cafe highlighted this as their bakery supplier ~ friendly staff, great service and food. Recommend the sourdough! And Ploughman’s sausage Roll

I am not happy about this store called ginger bread man and having popped my head through the window all men was working there. I am Trans and I find this very disgusting for all us women having to put up with all this. This store needs to be renamed to make it more exclusive to all women, trans genders and perhaps renaming their stores as Ginger Bread Women, or ginger bread trans, Ginger Bread Unisex, or just simply ginger bread and have more women working and not just men. The times have changed we are not living in the past and this store needs to establish itself. Now we are going to have a unisex god, this store needs to adapt...

I visited this café expecting a good experience, but unfortunately, I was refused service simply because my card payment was below £5. In a time when most people don’t carry cash, this outdated policy is frustrating and unwelcoming. Visa and Mastercard don’t even allow businesses to set minimum payment limits, so why make customers feel uncomfortable?

I was looking forward to enjoying a coffee here, but instead, I felt forced to spend more than I wanted. Plenty of other cafés nearby don’t impose these restrictions, so I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. A good café should prioritize customer experience, not unnecessary...

Good bakery especially for bread. Was really sad there was only jam doughnuts (I'd seen other doughnuts on their Instagram).

Although my doughnut was huge and tasty as was our coffee, my mum got a almond croissant and it wasn't filled which we thought was unusual. Staff were friendly. Would certainly recommend if you wanted artisan breads like sourdough, rye etc. They also do good savory treats like sausage rolls and nice sandwiches.

Since I make my own bread and it's quite a drive to get to, unless I know there are special doughnuts on the menu I doubt...
