1935 Rooftop Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in England

Booked a table for 15:30 today for my son and my daughters boyfriends birthday meals.

As always I with the negative first,

Everyone ordered 2 course and drinks, only for the waitor to come back and let us know they had run out of breadcrumbs for the Biffalo mozzarella.

7 people had ordered theses so reordered.

Again we were still waiting in our drink order 5 Pepsi 2 orange and 2 cider. Waitor came back over to tell 2 from our party that they had run out of turkey. So again they reordered, now 30 mins in and still no drinks.

I asked the waitor if we are going to get our drinks before the starters arrive.

Now 40 mins into our reservation, no food or drinks, but a table that has just been sat has had there drinks given to them. After 45 minutes a guy came over without introducing himself and said I am sorry but we seem to have had a problem with the drinks order receipt going through.

Now 50 mins into our reservation starters have arrived. 55 minutes into our reservation our drinks have finally arrived.

Hopefully this is all the negatives on what was once a great restaurant.

Starters were very good. Great presentation and taste was great.

Min course arrived at 1640 1hr 1 mins from sitting down.

One of our party was given the wrong meal but was offered the wrong near to eat whilst the correct one was prepared.

10 mins later our full party had all our main meals

Even though the computer had issues with our drinks and we had issues with food not available or the wrong food being delivered the food was outstanding as always. I have gotta say our waitor Frankie Was good and did his best to keep us updated on all issues with our meals.

Overall a big thank you to Frankie for attempting to make that meal good even though he had difficulties with computer and menu...

Just had the worst experience in hospitality ... never again ... booked for Christmas day's meal in the fifth floor,in restaurant no one to greet you or to acknowledge your arrival ...or even to ask if we are the guests or staying there ... Christmas atmosphere was minimal not even Christmas music however sat at the table we've had what they called a shot tasteless and cold what appeared to be butternut squash in a thimble ..the starter arrived shortly after, three scallops the size of ten pence and bacon Larden again cold and as we've had to order well in advance we couldn't remember what we've ordered as when we did the receptionist could not print a copy for us ... however every table had a little card with the name of the guests and what they've ordered but not ours the waiter brought his own list which it had only our names and nothing of what we've ordered . Come to the main course I've had the lamb which was ok but the portion was small to my liking .. my partner had the fish and again I was told it was warmish and had no taste whatsoever she left most of it, the restaurant was cold most people had their jackets on and again no Christmas atmosphere whatsoever ..we were just glad to have the dessert ( Apple pie ) so we can leave ... for almost £180 it's was a nightmare of a Christmas meal . Never again ... disgusting...I thought we will be eating and drinking and have a great time......

We recently came here for a work/ family meal. We booked in advance, when we arrived the menu we were given when we we booked and was still available on their website, which is the menu that drew us to this place, we were told was no longer available and had been stopped 2 days prior. We explained this to the gentleman and he basically told us tuff this is the menu now. The new menu was burgers chips and basically pub grub not the food which we would have wanted. We thought we would have cocktails but when we placed the order we were told the man who does the cocktails is not in (this is a Saturday night). So we ordered our starters and drinks, the starters arrived and we ate them and then 10 mins after our drinks arrived so the service for no fancy drinks just beers and ciders was so slow. One of our party went to use the bathroom and was greeted by a large amount of staff in the bathroom, whilst one of the servers were being sick and there others were there for moral support i guess. The food was nice but was essentially pub grub. Wouldn't go back again for a "nice" meal maybe an evening one where I would take my...
