Painful experience here on Tuesday afternoon. Buzzing to be travelling we thought we'd grab a bite and go over a few things for our trip. Jesus Christ, talk about crap start to the holiday. Do you have non alcoholic cider, yes we have lager??? What? Eventually getting a AF cider they turned up at our table with lids on, no bottle opener. Then the gormless waitress wandering around with our food even though we'd given our table number. No cutlery, oh sorry we must of forgot. No napkins, had to go back up to the bar and after asking was given a solitary napkin between 2 of us. The food was actually not bad but cold, probably due to the fact it had been walked around the airport for 20 minutes before arriving at our table. Just a shocking establishment from the minute you step foot in it. When you interview for a position here a little bar work experience would be the key I would of thought?? It was honestly like the staff had been transported there from they're proper jobs and didn't have a clue. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE if you're looking to a smooth start to you're journey, it will...

Truly pitiful service for an airport, where customers are watching the clock and working to time pressure. The restaurant seemed totally incapable of providing patrons with their meals. We waited 50 minutes (with no notice that "it might be a long wait") upon ordering. At this point our flight began boarding and we had no choice but to get our money back. The offer of a 'doggy bag' was given - if the food was ready why was it not being served? Had to decline as there was no indication how long it would have taken for said food to appear from the kitchen, additionally having paid over £40 for a sit-down meal, snaffling it on the flight from a cardboard box is not acceptable. The person who could issue the refund was not there and so another member of staff had to track down this person to enable money to change hands and us to get on our way. This establishment needs to get real, focus on quick easy food rather than gourmet type dishes with garnish that take ages to prepare and they cannot deliver at any sensible pace. Seven of us arrived, eagerly awaiting a scrumptious, tasty, full English breakfast before setting off on our flight to Spain. At the bar we requested, seven full English breakfasts with tea & coffee, to be told that it would take them over an hour to cook sausages to go with the breakfast.... I thought do sausages take an hour to cook? The barmaid had no idea whatsoever. We then asked for tea, a cup of tea to be further told that they didn't have any cups! So we had to go to Costa's. The surrounding area was poorly cleaned and when asked for a clean table it was like asking for an appointment with the queen. If these companies cannot fulfil the simplest of tasks then they should not be allowed to have premises at airports.
