I went to Al Trullo for my son in laws birthday celebration. The food was amazing especially the creme brulle and my calzone delicious. It was huge like a giant cornish pasty. Unfortunately I had to leave some of it. The staff were very efficient and pleasant and a good night was had by all. To be recommended. Well done Al Trullo.

Spent out night away in Fordingbridge, searched for a decent Italian and found this restaurant. It was reasonably priced, tasty and fast with good service. My only gripe would have been the dessert menu, it was somewhat limited. A little panna cotta would have gone down a treat at the end but that's it. Well worth a visit!

Fantastic family run restaurant. Small menu. But great quality. Specials of the day also. What makes this place is the people who run it. They remember you. Willing to go the extra mile. Value for money. Car park to the rear. Gets busy, so book in advance. Suitable for disabled people.

Had takeaway from here a couple of times which was great so we decided to dine in for a treat. Food was excellent, all freshly prepared, good quality and very hot. Was recommended a number of specials which I did pass on but the sea bass sounded fantastic. Staff were very attentive, knew the menu well and was quick to deal with any queries. Also had a very good wine and cocktail menu which the staff knew. Also had Lemonchello which for me is a big tick and a must for a genuine Italian Restaurant. The restaurant was decorated really well, had a great rustic feel outside. It was a hot day and the restaurant was a little warm so after our main meals we went onto the outside area and had a browse of the deserts menu and had an after dinner drink which was lovely - heat lamps provided for colder evenings. Bottom line: Good value, fantastic service and really tasty food. Definitely worth a...

Three stars is being generous! If you want to gobble your food down quickly then this is the place to go. My experience at Al Trullo was very poor, no sooner did I put my spoon down after finishing my soup the main course was brought to me. I was applauded and did say so. I asked for an explanation the man said they had a big group in and wanted to serve our table quickly. I had to leave my main course and have it box up for the dog, cork my wine as only had one glass, the whole experience was disappointing and unsatisfactory. To top all that there was no offer of a free desert, coffee or discount leaving me feeling totally disappointed and not wanting to return. The bill for rushed meal was £61 and a pledge not to...

I love Italian food but found this restaurant very disappointing. in fairness the restaurant was busy but service was extremely slow. The food itself was uninspiring. We eventually got our wine part way through the main course after asking or it 3 times. Equally annoying was the fact that the vegetables consisted of 4 carrot batons, 1 cauliflower floret and 1 broccoli floret both very small and not to mention 1 and a half small potatoes.

From reading other reviews I suspect our experience is not representative however I will not be returning as one visit is...
