Alfresco — Restaurant in England

The worst takeaway and delivery service I have ever experienced in Darwen and I have lived here for over 30 years. It would be no stars if possible. Half the order was missing, the delivery driver was rude when asked where the rest of the order was and said, “It’s not my problem mate” despite it being on the receipt ! And just drove away. My husbands pizza was also cold. I rang the “restaurant” to ask about what was missing from the order. The girl who answered the phone tried to help as best she could but was being told to tell us to ask for a refund by I assume her manager, who was clearly not interested or concerned that they had delivered as partial order or that the food was cold. I had stated we just needed the remainder of the order but they refused to deliver it. I have worked as a customer service manager for many years and never ever experienced the attitude of this takeaway. The food was cold and half the delivery missing, a big disappointment and...

I've always ordered from Alfresco as they do the best pizza. However over the last year there has been issues with processing Web payments . Tried to order tonight and I got a notice saying my payment had gone through but there was an issue and to ring the restaurant. (Transaction has shown on my account) I ring them and first of all the girl on the phone was arguing with them trying to get them to understand or listen I don't know. Guy comes on phone and tells me my order isn't showing and that when it will he will send me my order. I told him I had proof I've paid but he was having none of it. Basically he was refusing to understand that it wasn't acceptable to be told oh you might get it you might not. He was getting angry at me...the person who is out of pocket. Absolutely disgusting behaviour, I will never buy from this...

What a strange experience. Never been here before. Ordered by phone and the young lady who took my order was friendly but clearly unhappy. When I walked in to collect she was being abused by this horrible man. I took the exact change in with me but this same man demanded an extra 10p for the bag he'd used to put my kebabs in. Because I didn't have it he untied the bag, removed my kebabs from it and told me that I couldn't have the bag. Its a shame because the Chicken Shawarma kebabs were the tastiest in Darwen, just on the small side and expensive. The Garlic Bread with Cheese was also very tasty but thin as a crisp. I wouldn't go back here as long as that man works there as he made me feel VERY...
