Mughal Dine — Restaurant in England

Food was nice, but overcharged on the bill. 3 people and 2 rounds of the same drinks, so not a difficult thing to get right, but the main thing was we got a set menu where it said you could choose any main course except Chops, King Prawns or Special, so I avoided those deliberately. There was a section on the menu called 'Special Dishes', so I ordered a dish from a different section and not chops or king prawns. Got £3 surcharge on the bill and got told "oh but we consider this a special too" even though there was no indication of that. Manager argued with me and tried to belittle me by saying "no one else has ever mentioned it". Also, standard of English of one of the staff was poor. I asked for a dessert menu and he said ok. A few minutes passed and we got brought the hot towels like you usually get at the end, and I asked him about the dessert menu again, and got an incomprehensible reply, and then "we don't do desserts" so I just said, ok the...

I will start by saying my family eat out regular and it really does pain me to give a bad review , out of the many reviews we have given very few are not positive , we chose this location as it scored highly on Google reviews , we generally trust the Google review scoring and get a good meal from a highly rated place. Not this time !

Went here with a party of 8 . The starters was excellent but the currys ,ordered a samber was brought dansak didn't taste like either no lemon or pineapple just garlic , our daughter was quite upset and left to my surprise they still billed me for it even though the dish was left uneaten . Rogan josh again was very garlic like with little flavour tasted nothing like a rogan probably the wrong dish and was left uneaten .the ceylon however was quite good the milkshakes was also good . The bill was reasonable but taking money for the wrong dishes is not acceptable. Hope in future the owner will learn the value of customer...

I booked a table for myself and a friend on an unusually quiet Friday night. As there were just the 2 of us, we had some poppadoms for starters and a portion of onion bahji. The bahji's were cooked to perfection. Lovely and soft on the inside and crisp on the outside, complimented with some of the remaining sauces from the selection that we had with the poppadoms. For the main, we ordered a chicken tikka masala but asked for it to be spiced up. It was no problem to add some heat, and it was spiced perfectly, giving just the right amount of heat and flavour. Needless to say, we polished off the lot...! The only thing this restaurant doesn't have yet is an alcohol licence, but it was no problem. My friend and I have no problems not drinking with our meals, so it didn't really bother us. Thanks for a great meal, and prices were also good....
