Ashukaa — Restaurant in England

Terrible - Terrible!!! Just took my mother for a Mother's Day treat to this 'Restaurant'..As I was driving and my mother does not drink I popped to the Bargain Booze opposite to get a bottle of lemonade..When I walked in I was immediately approached by a utterly rude little man to informed me I could not drink my lemonade ..in amazement I asked why..to which the answer back completely stumped me..apparently because they sell soft drinks I couldn't drink my own..only the soft drinks they sell..And!!..Water is Not provided as according to this gentleman (and I use the term loosely!!) They don't have a licence to provide water..What utter rubbish!!!!! I'm Head of Conference & Banqueting in a 4 Star Hotel and in all my days in the hospitality industry I have NEVER been to a place that doesn't provide water to a guest as a basic requirement..I am appalled at the shoddy inter-personal skills of this 'Manager'. If a member of my staff had spoken to a guest as I was spoken to, I would of dismissed that member of staff immediately. The meal was pleasant but due to the terrible experience even before I sat down..It left me feeling angry throughout the visit and completely spoilt my Mother's Day Treat with my mother..Would I go again..Yes, but not until hell freezes..I have given this venue one star as sadly this system doesn't allow me to give no stars.. Shocking Customer...

Nice food but the slowest service ever.

Three visits to this restaurant. Turned away the first time because they were 'full' (they weren't full). Second time we waited an hour for food. Third time we waited an hour for food despite pre-booking all the meals 2 days prior and having a couple of other diners arrive after us get their food first.

Waiter was also less than attentive on drinks refills.

Lovely food, really well presented but the service is just shocking. I'm actually going for a curry with a few friends in the next couple of weeks and we are specifically NOT going to go to this restaurant even though it would be very convenient due to its location.

It seems the restaurant did not like my review. They called the organiser of our group booking and rather than address the issues I raised, rather than thank us for fixing their 'broken' PDQ machine and going out of our way to help them, they wanted my review to be taken down and also complained that we did not raise the issue with them on the night.

We did. Numerous comments about the speed of service. Numerous requests for the starters to be served to be told "They are nearly ready".

FOOD POISONING I will never eat or recommend this restuarant to anyone. We were in Telford with friends for the weekend and dined there on saturday night. The service was slow, the waiters came to blows in the middle of the resturant and had to be seperated by another member of staff. But to top it all off 3.5 hours after having our meal, I got so sick I collapsed in the hotel and an ambulance had to be called to our room. No doubt about it FOOD POISONING and that is what the wrote on my discharge note which I have a copy of. I was so sick and unable to leave the room so we had to cancel our flights home on Sunday and re book them for Monday and pay for another night in the hotel which all worked out very expensive for us. I am only giving it one star as I cant leave a review if i dont. Health Inspectors need to visit...
