Wrekin View — Restaurant in Great Britain

Slightly disappointing. We arrived for a late Sunday lunch having pre-booked a table the previous day. Booking a table via telephone was harder than we thought it would be, with the girl taking the booking getting the surname wrong on two occasions despite us spelling it out to her (it's not a difficult or unusual surname.) When we arrived there was no booking under the booked surname (in any of the three ways the name was spelt.) The Sunday lunch menu is priced depending on whether you have 1, 2 or 3 courses. Our group of 4 all chose main and dessert. The main courses was served quickly, and all four were hot, well presented and tasty. The issues continued after we had finished this course. Our dirty plates were left on the table for 15-20 minutes despite waiting staff delivering food to 4/5 other tables, the did not seem to understand you can take full plates out of the service area and take empty ones back all on the same trip. Overall the food was tasty but the visit was let down by the difficulty booking...

The Wrekin View is a must for those wanting a great meal and a memorable evening's entertainment.

This is a modern venue which has captured a country theme, displaying horse-drawn tools and architectural features in keeping with the area's legacy from the industrial revolution, all of which took place in view of the Wrekin Mt. which the venue looks on to.

Went here today with my Mum and brother. We did book, but didn't need to as spare tables. The food was lovely. My brother had the Tbone steak which was cooked how he had asked. I can thoroughly recommend the salmon it was delicious. Mum had cottage pie which she really enjoyed. The waiter was friendly and apologized for our little bit of a wait. Definaitly worth it and I'm looking forward to trying the Sunday roast next time. A little bit rowdy in the bar area as football was on so I personally would chose another day, but it didn't really spoil our experience as we sat...
