We have lived in the vacinity of Blyth for many years and have frequented Azmara's on several occasions. However, I have never felt that the food and service was at the highest level and therefore have patronised restaurants in other locations, such as Shikara's in Whitley Bay. After hearing that Azmara's had come under new management we decided to try it again. The experience was clearly at a different level. The premises have received a complete makeover and more importantly, so has the food. After inquiries, I have ascertained that the owner is indeed the brother of Shikara's owner and much of the quality had been transposed to Blyth. If you remember the old Azmara's, then you need to sample the excellent quality on offer at the new Azmara's. The pricing is highly competitive and the service is second to none! The owner has created a cocktail bar within the restaurant complex, which I believe will be a clear winner with the Blyth clientele, who want good service and an excellent product at a reasonable price. Returned to the restaurant where I’ve had a few great meals seated but last nights wasn’t good. I ordered rogan Josh and it was crammed with slices garlic, I picked out probably at least 5 cloves. The waiter asked if I wasn’t a fan of garlic and asked what I ordered, when telling him rogan Josh he said really with a confused look And took it to the chef. The response was that it was a garnish??? Garlic as a garnish?? Even though it was mixed throughout the dish? Herbs or even almonds as a garnish but that much garlic? I’m not sure the garnish is supposed to overpower the flavour of the dish. Definitely the last time I’ll try here again. Consider trying...

After reading everyone's brilliant reviews I feel short changed and disappointed :( I never ate in so my experience may have been different but unfortunately I ordered to take away. Picked up and on my plate with in 10 mins ... the food was cold and bland even my partner commented on how different it was from what she has experienced as this is her favourite restaurant .. then to open my pack of meat Samosas which contained 2 of the smallest things I've ever seen I payed basically £3 for these and where worse and smaller than the cheap party snacks from Iceland... next time I want an indians il go to spartan spice!
