Beach Box Polzeath — Restaurant in England

Arrived on a busy hot Saturday lmorning in July. You would hope for staff that were prepared for the customers they were bound to receive... But instead we found a hut full of moody teenagers who didn't seem to have any supervisor. The service was excruciatingly slow, with the surf instructor ahead of us actually cancelling his order because the 10 mins he had waited for a basic latte began to encroach on his lesson. We were surrounded by 3 people who received incorrect orders (wrong flavour smoothie, tea with milk when it was ordered without, one person with a missing drink from their order). We ordered a hot choc and a mocha, which came out a few minutes apart, and were both tepid warm and had the faintest taste of chocolate. We agreed those were the worst hot drinks we had ever bought - which for a 15 minute wait and £6.50 was rather disappointing. I feel passionate in my recommendation NOT...

Can tell the management here are a a dedicated team to ensure the café is successful, team, food and drink and general environment is great and I'd highly recommend a visit to anyone! They even offer locals a 20% discount at all their 4 cafes just by providing your drivers licence. I'd say the prices reflect the quality of the products, locally sourced and in great amount. Salmon salad was delicious, smoothies fruity and fresh and the coffee was the perfect balance for a dark roast complimented with well steamed milk and a touch of vanilla syrup. Very friendly, helpful staff who go beyond to ensure customers are happy and satisfied and pay attention to detail e.g. checking outside tables, area and bins twice during my hour visit to ensure clean and catered to...

The coffee and food here is good but unfortunately the service is terrible. On two occasions the servers have mixed up our dairy and non-dairy drinks. On the first occasion, we tried reaching out to the Beach Box online but had no response. On the second occasion, when we took our drinks back , they said they would make us new drinks, but they took one of our drinks away and handed us the exact same one back (we could see where we'd drank from and they hadn't even bothered to change the cup or lid - very very obvious). We took it back again and asked for a new one - finally they made us a new drink. Really bad attitude to allergens...
