Belmont Tandoori — Restaurant in England

Hmm… why so many good reviews? My wife and I could barely stomach it. I’ve been to India, and I grew up in a predominantly Indian demographic city in Canada: this is not good Indian food. I’d highly recommend bringing in an Indian cook to re-jig the recipes. The naan tasted old and maybe store bought, dry… the Tikka Masala and Korma was truly unpleasant. No spice. Bland. First time I've ordered from here and most definitely the last. Onion rice tasted like someone had dropped a carton of salt in, couldn't eat. The curry was absolutely tasteless, but did have a lot of prawns in. Also had onion bhaji if you could call it that, was so hard and crispy totally inedible. I travel from middlesbrough to durham just to visit Belmont Tandoori as it is the best i have ever tasted and i have tried them all ( makes Akbars of Bradford look like a ready meal ) the staff are happy and friendly , i challenge ANYONE to proove me wrong as this place is heaven on earth !!!
