Café 89 — Restaurant in England

Visited the cafe today whilst Christmas shopping in the Range, I will not be going back again. The food was low quality and poorly presented , most things on the menu were not available ( at 12pm ). Worst of all was the service we received from the woman serving. She was very abrupt to the point of rudeness with no customer service skills at all. Everything was too much trouble despite the fact I was the only one being served and the cafe having 4 tables occupied, including mine. She brought food to the table and practically through it on the table without a word. It was even too much trouble to spread the butter/ margarine. Shocking. I couldn’t recommend this...

Food is incredibly low quality. I had the chicken burger and chips and salad. Firstly the chicken burger was literally a Birds Eye chicken fillet you chuck in the oven, the bap wasn’t even buttered! The chips were about as pale as Casper the friendly ghost and the salad was wilted beyond help. I was told I had to wait 20 mins for my food but was more like 35 and tbh wasn’t worth the wait at all.

Although cheap, I can now see why. Place needed a bit of a clean too , dirty plates stacked up high on the food trolleys which leads to flys (one literally landed on my table!)

Avoiding...

Arrived at 12:40 to be told they'd stopped any hot food orders as they were just too busy - cafe was 1/3rd full. We ordered toasties and waited and waited. Finally, on enquiring, were told they'd been given to the customers after us as they had ordered the same. Finally got the toasties which were luke warm. Whilst we were there, two other customers had to chase their orders which had been forgotten and they weren't even busy. Plenty of other nice places where the food and service are both...
