We're regulars in this enchanting area, drawn to its serene and picturesque beauty. It's the ideal spot to unwind and enjoy quality time with loved ones. The lush greenery, gentle breeze, and breathtaking vistas create an atmosphere of tranquility that instantly soothes the soul. The paths winding through the area offer a variety of walking experiences, from leisurely strolls along the riverbank to more challenging hikes through the wooded hills. Each route reveals its own unique charm, with stunning views, hidden waterfalls, and quaint bridges. After our invigorating walks, we often reward ourselves with a delicious treat at the local café. Their specialty cinnamon cake is simply divine, with its warm, comforting flavors and irresistible aroma. Paired with a steaming cup of coffee, it's the perfect way to end a perfect day. This hidden gem is a must-visit for anyone seeking a peaceful escape from the city. Whether you're a nature lover, a history buff, or simply looking for a place to relax and recharge, this area has something to offer everyone.

Lovely little cafe which we stumbled on while on a walk. Nice selection of cakes, tea, herbal tea selection and coffee. It’s a community cafe and the staff were friendly and welcoming and somewhere to rest a while to look at the sea views and take in the peace and tranquillity and warm up. We visited in February half term, so can only imagine it’ll be much busier in the summer time. Would recommend.

Wonderful cafe run by volunteers which brings back childhood nostalgia of the seaside. Delicious coffee and cakes on offer as well as baguettes and pasties. A warm and friendly spot to stare out at the sea.

Excellent location right on the waterfront. We visited on the first sunny Sunday of the year, but we're extremely disappointed to find we couldn't get a lunch there - even a bowl of soup would've been nice (and easy for them, with large profit). We waited ages in a long queue then found the only food was sandwiches - but they'd run out of bread. Surely they could have predicted there would be lots of customers in a nice day and bought more food in? (or even nipped out to a nearby shop and bought another loaf?!). So they lost out on our custom, as we were a party of five all prepared to buy a lunch. Also, there was only one toilet, and the queue for that was massive (supposedly for customers only, but people coming in off the street too, as no public toilets that end of the seafront). I appreciate this is a community run cafe made up mainly of volunteers, but it could be run so much better - and make more money...

Lunchtime visit on a Saturday. Busy as the sun was shining but food came reasonably quickly after ordering. Queuing to order was a little on the slow side but suspect that the volunteer was fairly new. Food was good quality, well presented and reasonably priced. I applaud that the cafe is dog-friendly but wonder if it should be dog-free over the busy lunchtime period. (Two very yappy dogs in a busy noisy room on this visit.) A few acoustic panels would probably also help with the noise levels and improve the...
