Cafe Local — Restaurant in England

I find it super strange that this station cafe is pushing for reviews when their selection and service is so terrible. I had an overpriced cheese sandwich which was stale, as the only vegetarian option available. I asked for a latte with oat milk which is my go to order and the woman serving looked panicked and asked me to repeat the milk, when I said Oat she started rummaging trying to find it. I spotted it was 65p extra for oat milk (or soya) so few places charge extra for plant based milks now, never seen that high a charge - so I told her not to worry, I'd have regular milk. If you’d like to be ignored and treated like something the dog dragged in then do pop into The Pumpkin. When I strolled in the place was empty and an assistant was filling the drinks cabinet. It took almost five minutes before she finally deigned to acknowledge my presence. Meanwhile the minutes before my train left ticked away. When I was at last favoured with her attention I received no eye contact and the thinnest veneer of service. I was basically getting in the way of her job. It’s not really her fault, these people are paid minimum wage, given virtually no training or held to any standards of customer service. Incredible everytime I go in. I used to go to the competitor who shall not be name, lol, on platform 2 but the cost was racking up. After trying the Cafe on Platform 4, I'll never look back. The staff are incredibly friendly and the price of their meal deal is brilliant. Everytime I go in, the staff are more than happy to be there, ready to help with every request and happy to get whatever you need. I've had 3 different people at the till and each one has been so friendly. Really starts the day off positively before going to work. The tune melt is fantastic and the coffee is perfectly smooth.
