Cafe on the Cop — Restaurant in England

Please avoid this place!! As soon we walked in for a light lunch, we was completely ignored, we pressured it was table service so sat down and waited to be served. The young girl waitress ignored us and went to an another table that came in after us. We finally ordered a cola and a strawberry milkshake for drinks. After a grim 15 minutes the drinks arrived, the milkshake was warm and like water I had to ask for ice. The Diet Cola was flat!! The waitress came over to our table and then said the tuna wasn’t available so we went ahead and ordered prawns, again after a long wait the waitress with poor attitude brought the food over, the prawns was covered in huge amounts of mayo and the salad was dripped in salad cream. The panini I ordered wasn’t a panini it was a baguette squished with boiled chicken was absolutely terrible. We left most left of it. Payed and left. Avoid...

Went in for lunch and first of all we said 2 separate bills simple request. Food comes out and my moms egg was not cooked so asked for another again not cooked, I was given salad with salad cream or mayo on which I didn’t ask for and seemed snappy when asked to take the sauce off.

Friend had dessert and was snappy and very rude when asked to change cakes as first one was so hard she couldn’t eat it, we was given dirty looks and they was whispering felt unwelcome all because food wasn’t right. Went to pay bill and I was nearly charged for cake my friend had which was separate bill and then tried to overcharge me for a extra drink and only took it off as I was trying to calculate it.

Overall experience awful won’t come again just felt uncomfortable. Shame I couldn’t give 0 stars as 1 is far...

I'd like to be able to score more highly but our first experience wasn't the greatest. The breakfast was mostly fine but when it arrived the toast was on the unacceptable side of overdone. Some of the blackened bits where shiny which is properly burned. We asked the staff to replace them, which they did, but really it shouldn't have been brought out.

We asked for a glass of tap water (we paid for other drinks) but it didn't arrive. Also the front door wouldn't close properly without a struggle which meant that most of the time we were in a draught and it was chilly outside.

I'm sure that we were unlucky and on another day would have had a much better experience so perhaps we'll give them...
