Capri — Restaurant in England

Upon arrival the restaurant wasn't very busy and we were quickly seated. Our order was taken however the server returned promptly to confirm our order. We had ordered 2 mains and a garlic bread starter to be served at the same time as the mains. The mains arrived quickly but when we inquired about the garlic bread we were abruptly told we hadn't ordered one. As we were already half way through the mains we told them it didn't matter. Once we had finished the mains we were offered the dessert menu however this didn't arrive. By this time we had finished our drinks however it was another 15 minutes before we were asked if we wanted anything else. At this point we decided it was time to leave. We asked for the bill which was delivered to the table however no one was forthcoming to take our payment so we had to approach the bar to pay. Beautiful food, spoilt for choice on the menu. Excellent service, just the right level of attentiveness without pestering. We had the prawn cocktail and mussels to start, both lovely but the mussels in particular were really meaty and tasty. My husband couldn't decide on a main and was tempted to order both the lobster ravioli and a pizza, and he was pleasantly surprised to be offered half of each which was perfect for him! My seabass risotto was amazing, the seabass fillets were lovely and thick and cooked to perfection, and the vegetable risotto a lovely accompaniment. Wish we had found this place on the first day of our holiday!! House wine was exceptional. I had a beautifully fresh classic bruchetta and my partner had the garlic mushroom starter, which he said was delicious. We shared a vegetarian pizza; I LOVED the olives, very generous too! We couldn't resist the homemade in-house tiramisu. Tiramisu is my absolute fave dessert, and I can gladly say that Capri tiramisu was the best I have ever had!
