Not a very good experience this evening at all, ended up throwing it all in the bin. Being front line I wouldn’t complain or put a bad review unless I was really upset and nothing was being done so felt that I had to. Ordered on uber eats, received 3 error messages which I have screen shots of that the order could not go through. Three different errors might I add this is obviously uber eats fault but not much I can do as they have no live chat or pick up their phone as it goes round in loops. Called Carters where the lady said try ordering on Just eat instead, which I did. Two deliveries arrived at my door a lot the same time one from uber eats and one from just eat. Thought to sort it out with uber eats tomorrow as I just wanted to enjoy some dessert as I had two lots. When opened there was no ice cream which usually comes with it. Couple of months ago I called Carters and the gentleman said it comes with it of course so thought no point asking this time or leaving a note because it’s hot waffles and ice cream. Called Carters about it and they said due to it melting they don’t include it with the order anymore. I don’t understand why you wouldn’t mention this how will your customers know? Putting it all aside went to have my dessert as what’s done is done Iv spent almost £40. The waffle was chewy as it would do after being made and left for too long, you can imagine what the strawberries tasted at this point too. I’m not fussy and hate wasting food but out of frustration and the taste of chewy waffles it had to all go in the bin. If waffles can’t be eaten at least slight bit warm then no point offering delivery what a waste of money and time....
Read moreAbsolutely the WORST EVER place I have taken my children to have ice cream. I will make sure I never go there again and tell as many people the same. Ok we got told there is a 15min wait, "this is fine".... so we got took downstairs then left there for 20min, we had to prompt staff to take our order.....after ordering our ice creams we waited an extra 35mins when it finally came down to us one of the spoons was filthy and one of the orders was wrong and we was missing one completely, so I asked where one of the ice creams was that we ordered...instead of telling us they had forgot it they told us it was on its way....another 15mins pass at this point the kids are getting restless and very loud. Then it turns up, when it did the waitress said that they will take this off the bill....ok, so I go up to pay, the waitress disappears and they try and charge me for the ice cream that was late and tell me that the waitress should not of said that...after a brat attack from the lady making the ice creams she took 50% off the one ice cream that was wrong..I did offer to just pay for the lot as this was now getting ridiculous....If you can AVOID!!! Also the ice creams was not as good as other...
Read moreWouldn’t recommend for delivery, placed an order via JustEat. 2 hours later, nothing had arrived. Called them and told me to just cancel my order as JustEat have no drivers and I should use Uber Eats in future.
Whilst that may be true and a lack of JustEat delivery drivers is out of their control, if you know that there are JustEat customers cancelling throughout the night (which is what was said on the phone to me) and wait times are 2 hours for Ice Cream - you’d think they would stop accepting orders via the JustEat platform (which they did not, in fact even after 2 hours of me waiting they were still taking orders on Just Eat knowing they probably would not be able to be fulfilled).
Would have taken 10 seconds to switch their JustEat Order Pad to offline, and spare people a rather disappointing end to...
