Very poor customer service and atmosphere. I have visited this place twice. On the first visit, I was ordering at the desk and I added a portion of samosas to my order to eat in. The owner was sat at the side and commented “thats too much food”. I felt embarrassed and said I could have it to take out. She then said I should order it at the end if I want to take it out. She made me feel that I should go along with what she’s saying, even though it could have been on the table with everything I ordered and I ask for a doggy bag for anything left over. I didn’t bother ordering them on leaving as she put me off. On the second occasion, after I had finished ordering, I was just making conversation with the lady who took the order about the choice on the menu, just commenting about the variety and that theys some stuff I would like to try, and the owner was brushing up, and I heard her say “has she not finished ordering yet”. This made me feel very small and put me on the spot. When I was eating in I felt watched. I had dropped abit of food by accident. I felt I had to pick it up before leaving because of the way the owner was in making that remark. I wouldn’t recommend anyone ordering chai just before they are closing because it didn’t taste like it was freshly made, it tasted off and this will be cos it’s the leftovers. I won’t be going to this place again. They are other chai places which I’m sure I won’t be told I’m ordering too much food and being made...
Read moreNever been to Blackburn before but while was there , found out about this place somehow while Google searching. Went there on the day I left Blackburn, it was Sunday morning. Thought to quickly grab some paratha ( most people reviewed it as great ) and take it with me all the way to capital. It was chucking rain, 🌧️ . They need to fix the guttering in front of the entrance it was a deluge of water coming down. It's mostly run by the ladies and has two floors. People were eating parathas as bfast with chai. So, I tried to order their speciality after discussing a girl in the counter, unfortunately a lady came and said for parathas theres a long wait due to a big order is being prepared Hence ordered Puris and chana masala and halwa. I was in the impression that Puris will be small on sizes hence ordered a.large quantity but when I opened the container in home after traveling almost 7hrs from there to home I was surprised, it was chole batura kind of thing. It was really tasty and me and family enjoyed a lot and now joke within ourselves when is the next trip to Blackburn. So , it was also a long wait for my order but it was worth waiting. So, all hail to these hard working ladies....
