Charltons — Restaurant in England

Found this place purely by chance after doing a survey over the road so called in with my workmate.

Expected a usual greasy spoon " please don't take offence "so ordered a double cheeseburger with onions and fries with a drink and Expected the usual dash to the loo to do a homemade Jackson pollock in the morning and heartburn for the afternoon.

My bad for even thinking this so I apologise.

Burger and fries came out and I was pleasantly surprised at how it looked and moreso with the taste, bread was lovely and crisp on the outside and soft inside the patties so juicy and the cheese, relish and salad were just right , fries were fresh crispy and chunky and was also a very large portion including the Burger, all in it was banging to the point of me saying that it was the best I've had in a long time and I'd agreeably say better than the posh restaurants could produce and I spend a lot of time on the road eating out so this place is a wee gem .

Don't write reviews very often but had to this time as the ladies here deserve the praise .

Also got this place in maps for next time I'm that way working.

Stopped here for a breakfast on our way back from Horden. Very friendly welcome and staff happy to modify a dish from the menu to my preferred taste. We had a breakfast wrap, cuppa tea, the breakfast waffles with extra bacon in place of the eggs and a flat white coffee. All round excellent food, service and price, highly recommended. Don't forget your loyalty card as you will return. PS cupcakes in cabinet...

Felt compelled to leave my first ever review since social media was invented. Outstanding double burger, never tasted better in 10 years, reminiscent of the fresh burgers you enjoy in Spain when they use ground quality meat without any additives. Forget cheap food vans, pay that tiny bit extra for a quality, healthy burger....
