This is the perfect venue for people who love quality cocktails! I’ve been telling my friends since I went last night for the first time.
Albert was so attentive in a nice relaxed way. He asked what I liked to drink, told me about some of the spirits, liqueurs, blends that he’s made & we decided on a twisted espresso martini to start. WOW. It was immense. You could tell it was what it said on the tin but with an amazing quirk!
Then onto the most gorgeous Aviator. I’ve never had one before but Albert suggested we try some squid ink gin… honestly! The bottle itself was stunning & strangely the gin was delicious as the sample proved. The result was lovely & so beautiful with strawberry bursts in a passion fruit skin. Such a treat but without the price tag. The same price you’d pay in some awful chain for a sugary mess.
The fire was going. Everyone was friendly saying hi. Lovely relaxed environment & as I was on my own I was happy to chat but saw several people just doing their own thing. As a woman on my own I felt comfortable & even if not, feel I could’ve asked anyone for help.
It’s not very modern nor do I think that aspires to be. There’s some very lovely modern art but wooden panelling etc. feels quite white, male environment but wasn’t at all the vibe.
All races, sexualities clearly welcome!
I think that you get the idea that I loved it. Will be bringing my friends for a bloody good...
Read moreWorst place ever !!! Had a venue here and manager tried to kick us out at 10:30 although I was told last drink at 12 midnight and can stay another few hours.. not enough cuttlery or glasses not to say i had to rewash as food still stuck to it!! Very dirty kichen with food so old in fridge it maked me sick on spot... had to come in early to arrange room but the manager opened up and left us and half of chairs and tables were locked in storage with no acces to them.. Also the bar room was locked till 5 when my venue started and my guest started to arrive and i was busy moving furniture out of the way as no help from them and decorating room !! It was a total disaster!! The wisky finished and manager went to buy from morrisons selling it at roof top prices!! Very expensive and not worth the hassle !! Spend your money elsewhere as i regret coming to this place and will never recommend it to nobody not even my greatest enemy!!! I was promised the meter outside will get covered but never did so all guests could had been fined !!! Bar manager was very rude to us when confronted and although i showed him what was agreed when booking was made we had been forced to stop music at 10:45 and tell 90 people its finished !! I never was more embarrassed in my life as this was meant to be a very big event it was a disaster !!!
AVOID!!! AVOID !!!!...
Read moreI believe Cheyne Walk Club is owned and run by Northampton City Council. It is an opulent 19th century industrialist's mansion, complete with original interiors that have not been destroyed by being painted over or removed entirely. These styles seem to be Gothic Revival in the hallway and a less defined baronial style in the sitting room that contains the (very modern) bar. It's extremely impressive. Sadly, an additional room has been stuck on the front, which spoils the look of a fine exterior. (Of course it could be removed...) Sadly, also, the front garden is a car park. The wretched car has destroyed an area that may formerly have been beautiful. I look forward, as a car refusenik, to the day the oil's run out, and people are forced to walk to these places. Maybe the ugly tarmac could be dug up, though I'm not holding...
