What a wonderful place! We had such a warm welcome from chef-owner Marynes. I could instantly feel the Latin warmth and also the passion she has for her business.
It was so great to experience these South American flavours, here in this beautiful corner of SW England. The prices were very reasonable and service was exceptionally swift.
We had nachos with Guacamole and cheese to start. Then I had veggie black bean quesadillas and my husband had chicken tacos. All were delicious. I would have preferred to have melted hard cheese on the nachos but I think the cheese dip (melted, soft, very mellow cheese) is the normal thing these days - it’s ages since I last ate South American - so blame me for that! And maybe I should have asked for extra green chillis (if they were available?) but please disregard these two little constructive points.
All in all, it’s an extremely friendly special place. And we will be back (as we live in the area). Marynes and her family deserve every success. Such a fun place with regular live music, a pool table and flavoursome food. I urge you to try it. Booking was easy - we sent a text message and received a...
Read moreWell where do I start, at the beginning I suppose, turned up without booking this evening expecting them to say, sorry we are fully booked, they did say this but they quickly moved a few things around and got me a table, not really knowing what to order, first timer lol, I asked the lady what was a good item to chose to give the full experience, I was part drawn to the fish tacos but they were made with nothing more exotic than haddock and that you can get anywhere so I went for the chef's special and wow it didn't disappoint, so tasty and just the right amount of spice to remind you it's Mexican food after all, the decor, bar and staff are a credit to the manager and I will most definitely be returning with friends in the near future and if not again on my own, i will recommend to friends that's for sure, well done everyone involved what a great...

We were tired and very hungry!what a lovely welcome we received, great place, super friendly staff and locals, the food was plentiful and absolutely divine. Shared the mussels as a starter, you could taste the freshness, proved by seeing a local fisherman delivering them whilst we were eating! I had the local the local crab tacos, absolutely gorgeous and plenty of crab, my Son the beef chimichanga. Although pretty full at this point we shared flambéed bananas with Cornish ice cream, delicious. Can't fault the place and will definitely be going back whilst we are here. Highly recommend, dog friendly, 5 star hygiene...
