My goodness. Fish and chips?? Frozen fish and fries! Fries? Not chips. I'm so glad we only ordered one portion between us 3, it was vile, we didn't eat the fish, it was actually leaking water at one end, batter was soggy, and it tasted grim! Almost like slime! Never have I ever tried fish so terrible! We were going to buy some crab but decided against it! The 'fish' and chips - Fries, went in the bin!
We knew it was also a rainyish day but given that their were people under cover who weren't even eating and the rest of us were sat in the rain (it started raining after we ordered), no umbrellas?
Awful Awful, worst 'meal' we have had all week!
Addition secondary to Google response, clearly don't like honest feedback, we did go and sit in the pub eventually actually as they were kind and welcoming. As you state it is fresh, I will have to take your word for it 😬, unfortunately vile regardless. We didn't see the point in approaching to be perfectly honest as it wouldn't have changed or resolved anything 🤷♀️. This is my opinion, to share with others who may visit. I'm not hiding ... my names on the...

The lobster was outstanding, sweet and perfectly cooked, while everything else on the menu tasted like the ocean itself. Prices are fair and make the whole experience even more enjoyable.
The setting has a rustic coastal charm: grab your seafood here, pick up drinks from the nearby pub, and enjoy it all at the simple outdoor tables with sea breeze in the air. The owner is wonderfully friendly, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel part of the place.
It’s family-friendly (our kids loved the halloumi salad and classic fish & chips), dog-friendly, and there’s plenty of parking nearby.
A must-visit if you want to feel the authentic spirit of Cornwall — fresh catch, sea air, and...
Read moreAbsolutely loved this place! It has a symbiotic relationship with the pub next door that works really well! We'd seen people with fish and chips at lunchtime, and they looked so good that we returned later in the day to have them ourselves. James cooked the fish to absolute perfection, and the beer batter was so light. And the chips....soooo crisp and salted just so. Kevin, our waiter, was really friendly and happy to tell us a little about the place. Loved it and will definitely return if I'm in Lizard...
