The Clock tower cafe at Sewerby hall & gardens is a very popular cafe. Don't expect fine dining, but if you're after a tasty treat, sweet or savoury, then you wont be disappointed, all the usual hot beverages & cold drinks are available, note', if you have a sewerby hall membership card, or a Spa theatre membership card & show either when you make your purchases in the cafe, you'll get 10% off the price of your hot drinks. This place succeeds because there is no competition here. The food is boring, the service is glaciel, it doesn't function efficiently. The guy behind the counter was so helpful and friendly it actually crossed over into being a hindrance to good service, just stop over explaining and offering multiple options it's not necessary. Stopped in here for lunch whilst walking. Cafe spotless with nice views. Had a posh coffee , usual price, not cheap but good coffee and jacket potato (generous filling) then a fresh scone jam and cream. Ladies behind till were delightful. One her first day but very patient with my discount card and whatnot. Could do with a bit of music or radio whilst waiting....
