Dear sir/Madam
I feel I must bring to your attention of the extremely poor and upsetting demonstration of arrogance I personally witnessed this day in your coffee House maternity unit at the Royal Derby Hospital. This is unfortunately not the first time I have witnessed this blatant and undermining attitude from a manager to a member of staff.
I spoke to several customers who told me this is not a one-off incident, and as a customer I do not expect this sort of, “bullying” attitude from anyone and in this time of equality and diversity it should NOT BE acceptable.
Should this manager have to make such comments for the welfare of the young man so be it, then do it behind closed doors and not in ear shot of paying customers. BUT this was not such an occasion and just showed disrespectful attitude.
I’m amazed this young man put up with humiliation in front of customers, and it was embarrassing and distressful in such vicinity to the maternity department where tensions are upsetting to customers. This is NOT A high street shop and even so this managers attitude is not acceptable in any way.
I’m assuming your Costa Company has a mission statement not only for selling products but the welfare of its staff, obviously the member of staff is frightened to act which is even more upsetting.
I suggest you do as other companies and carry out random customer care audit.
I hope you will take this email as seriously as it’s intended

Read moreWe've been visiting the hospital a few times a month now due to the wife being pregnant and fully aware of the covid restrictions in and around the hospital. Visited the Costa branch in the hospital and asked if were allowed to sit in whilst eating and drinking as there was a table of 3 dining in whilst visiting. We were refused the option to sit in due to the apparent restriction. However there was a notice on their board which stated all orders were for take out only Very confused due to a group of people were sat doing the very thing which apparently was restricted. My biggest dislike is when there is one rule for one and a different rule for another... Please...
Read moreDink was over £1 extra for being served in a hospital setting, causing the price to be boosted up to £5.25 for a singular medium drink, the drink was then prepared without key ingredients and I was not informed that the ingredients we're missing while placing the order therefore I did not have the option to change it. Overall the drink was flavourless due to the missing ingredients and definitely not worth £5. for this being a hospital setting where they deal with patients having issues with sugar intake and calories, missing ingredients was a major problem and I am concerned it will become an issue with someone who requires a certain intake...
