Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

Visited on Saturday 12/9/20 at 17:10, staff are getting ready to closed at 18:00. Waitress is not friendly at all telling me only for takeaway and unable to spend too long time to serve me (just because I asked her to do my 3 toasties individually instead all at the same time because my previous experience that if they toasted 2 toastie together, inside the toastie is not hot enough) as there is other customer is waiting (one man just walking in). She said will put it in for longer time and I explained to her that if this case, inside is hot enough but outside will be too crispy and hard. Finally, she still not doing it for individually. I have nave no choice as my son is waiting for his toasties at home. After 5-7 minutes drive to get home, my son realised that his cold chocolate not even a full cup (approximately 85%) and his toasties not hot enough as I thought. This Costa has been wonderful for my mum, who literally comes in every day. It's perfect for her because she has limited mobility, so one of the only places she can manage as the parking is right outside, and she is made to feel welcome and they take care of her. Her coffee went cold, and they remade it for her. She is very forgetful and let her pay at a later date when she forgot her pin, or they try and help her download the Costa app. It's these kinds of acts of human kindness that go such a long way in this world as you never know what troubles someone is going through. My mum says the staff literally never stop working, and this little coffee shop gets her out of the house once a day and when she has no food at home and cant shop she knows she can always get one of your delicious mozzarella paninies and small lattes. thank you, Costa...

Unisex toilets = RANK. Men's pee everywhere., it's just so, so gross. Why can't we just have women's only toilets, seeing as women don't pee all over the seat? The Mallard Road Costa is usually really lovely - Always a table, nice atmosphere, food is well-presented, and coffee is lovely, though the coffee brewing counter usually looks in a little disarray. I recently (last week) visited in the morning for a break - everything was fine, but gosh, the toilet was DISGUSTING. It obviously hadn't been cleaned in a while as the toilet bowl had build-up under the water line, only possible when not cleaned for days. There was dried bogey on the wall (hurl), the sink hadn't been cleaned in a while as there were old stains, some hair, dust, and general build up on it. The floor was also covered in water stains.
