Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

Not impressed. Staff are disorganized and one was exceptionally rude with me. Backstory: I went in and bought lunch to go....and took the items back to A&E where I was sat waiting for our turn. We ate lunch in the waiting room, when I noticed a sweet bun was missing. I went back after we had finished our visit and found the gate down, but people were inside still. I called the woman over and explained the problem. She was obviously disinterested and offhandedly said they were closed, ....I asked if I could get a refund,...she said till was closed and to come back tomorrow. ? Asked what time it was, and she was quite snappy with me. I repeated I was in A&E and was not about to come back tomorrow....and could I not get a bun? She said no. ?!? Really ?!? I don't like getting told off by someone who works in a hospital. People that work in a hospital are usually chosen for their excellent bedside manner.....that should include the only food provider there-Costa needs to do the same. Costa made the mistake, an apology to start would have been fitting, and anything to replace the £2.60 (of a £21.40). I have given the bill to A&E reception and told her to have a bun on me tomorrow. I expect they honour that. Costa is overpriced, and this location is a disappointment. If you must, check inside your bag before you leave to make sure you got what...

The most rude and obnoxious staff I have ever experienced, I was there ealy in the morning and I only had a £20 note, the woman said in a very loud voice that there was no change! Then she gave me a horrible look like it was my fault! I walked off and she then rudely shouted that I need not be so rude! Loudly shouting across the hospital, I was shocked and embarrassed, another customer approached me later and told me to complain about the way I way treated, as I was disabled from an injury I did not go back there to complain, I decided to write this...

Always a pleasure having a coffee here. The drinks are delicious and made with care& attention. Staff are friendly and tend to remember there usual customers even our orders which is so considerate. They are a great team& I love spending my pre going to work mornings here, the best coffee place in Peterborough...
