Takeaway - OK food. Expensive. Stone in my curry!

Ordered and collected a takeaway for the first time.

The food was decent enough for takeaway, but nothing special. The price was rather expensive - £0.70p for a papadum and also a charge for each of the related dips and sundries. Unimpressed.

However, the main talking point of the meal came about when I bit into a mouthful and came into contact with a small stone (looks like pea gravel, about the size of a small pea). A trip to the dentist is now booked and I shall be looking elsewhere for my next Indian takeaway.

When the staff were confronted the next day the most they felt they could do was apologise and offer a £20 voucher, which will never be used. Perhaps AVDC Environmental Health might give the matter a touch more concern. I was lucky not to crush a tooth on impact.

Came here last night for a birthday meal, it was a party of five of us. We were the only people in the restaurant. Whilst the food was really delicious, and everybody seem to really enjoy what they had, the portion sizes were incredibly small. Also, my mushroom rice came out 3/4 of the way through eating our food, and considering we were the only people there, I think this is inexcusable. The time before that I had a hair in my chicken tikka, and the chat tried to give me the same dish after taking the hair out. Which we said no, we want a replacement. Absolutely wonderful experience ❤️ I booked a table for my family on my Birthday and they set up a birthday table with balloons and confetti without even asking! We all had a wonderful meal together but we didn't ask for dessert as we were all so full but after asking for the bill, they walked out a complementary ice cream with a candle in it and they sang Happy Birthday to me! I was really touched and blown away with how they tried to go above and beyond and it really made all the difference.
