Beautiful village and the hotel is very lovely. I'm super impressed with the food and have eaten here 2 nights in a row so far. Had the liver the first night, and it was well cooked and tasty. Everything that came with it was perfect. 2nd night. Had plaice. The fish was tender yet perfect. The potatoes were perfectly cooked with a nice hint of flavour. To be continued.. but it's a lovely place. Would be well worth a visit .

Absolutely lovely and faultless stay here last night. Fantastically warm welcome, food was outstanding, cosy cute wonky little bedroom that was spotlessly clean, delicious coffee in the morning and I even had a little paper bag with some fruit in to take with me as I don’t eat breakfast. Will absolutely stay again when in the area and would recommend yk everyone.

Good food, beautifully presented. Very basic table service, we were not even asked if everything was ok with the food, staff just stood there talking, showing no interest. Feels overpriced too. It didn't feel like a hundred pounds dinner experience.

Last minute, we decided to visit Long Crendon and managed to secure a reservation at The Angel Dining Rooms for my birthday. What a wonderful decision it turned out to be!

I started with the vegetable tempura, and it was an absolute delight. The delicate sauce that accompanied it was superb, enhancing the flavor of each perfectly cooked vegetable. Every bite was mouth-watering and left us eager for the next course.

For the main course, I chose the sea bass served on creamy leeks and sliced potatoes. The dish was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked. The flavors were rich and balanced, making it an unforgettable main.

To top off the evening, I had the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. It was the perfect sweet ending to an already fantastic meal.

A special mention must go to Chef Trevor Bosch, who came out to check on our experience. His talent is evident in every dish, and it was a pleasure to meet him. Additionally, our young server, Stewart, was exceptional—attentive and professional, which is something we don't often find in London.

Overall, my birthday dinner at The Angel Dining Rooms was a memorable experience. I highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for delicious food and...

We stayed at the Angel when attending a wedding locally, the first thing that you notice is the genuine friendly greeting that the staff offer its guests. The rooms are quirky, clean and very well stocked with tea & coffee facilities, bath gells etc and (what appeared to be) delicious home made biscuits.|Breakfast was leisurely due in part to the chef being left alone to do everything but he coped admirably and cooked a very good breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble for him.|If your looking for the standard corporate room then the Angel is not for you, if character and brilliant staff are your thing then book as soon as you can as our friends couldn't get in after we...
