We had a lovely meal in the dancing betty on the 8th of April '23 We got the nachos for starter which was lush! Proper good quality cheese, I got the classic beef burger with sweet potato fries which was delicious! My partner got the classic burger with mozzarella cheese with fries he really enjoyed it, our son got the sausage & fries with vegetable sticks, which was raw carrot & cucumber, I would love if they cooked the carrot into chip like sizes instead, but that's my only critique. Overall it was delicious! Also the Pepsi in the bottle is lovely & refreshing! & so is the cordial blackcurrant, its nice you get an option of having it with water or soda water. 10/10 will return again & have recommended you to family and friends who have since visited :)

Fairly standard, average food mostly deep fried. Quite busy on Sundays with staff struggling to handle bar orders as well as clearing tables and greeting customers. Food was quick to come out and we were pleased this Marston's does checkbacks. As with most chain restaurants it was clear food was pre cooked then heated up to order. For some odd reason a member of staff or at least a friend of the staff was sat near us frequently moving around the restaurant looking over at our table and others. She occasionally cleared tables and chatted with the staff. Quite uncomfortable and indeed off-putting. Probably wouldn't come back again.

Visited today for a meal for the first time. Lovely, clean, tidy establishment with pleasant staff. Food is a touch pricey, but they do provide offers on certain days for certain specials. They have a big outdoor seating area complete with a kids' play area outside. Inside, there is a segregated area for children (see photos) where kids can entertain themselves. The carvery section looked very fancy! I personally loved the tiny little booth we sat in to eat our meal. Overall, it was a good experience for a chain and would definitely visit again based on the service and the cleanliness of the establishment.

We went to the Dancing Betty today after I'd undergone surgery, and hadn't been out of the house for three weeks. I was climbing the walls and a bit of retail therapy at Dalton Park, a carvery and Cruzcampo at the Dancing Betty courtesy of Mrs B went down very well indeed to say the least 👌🏻🙌🏻❤️ Food, atmosphere and service were every bit as good as we've come to expect, having been frequent family customers at the Betty for years. Cruzcampo in particlear went down very well indeed, and has replaced Stella as my draught drink of choice- it's excellent in cans too 😋 Perfectly chilled and perfectly poured. Twice. Mrs B was driving 😇

The carvery was as good as ever, although cauliflower cheese seemed to have replaced a favourite side dish of mine which was a bit like cauliflower cheese, but if I remember rightly it also had bacon and onion in as well, and I could always eat a plate of just that 😋❤️ Mash and beef both top notch, excellent portion of beef even for a medium plate. Thank you Mr Carver 🤜🏻🙌🏻😋

Service excellent as usual- seated straight away, and it was nice to see Jamie again, who is always keen to please, and was today too. What a cheerful chap 👌🏻 Top man for, as was commented on at the time, NOT referring to us collectively as "guys" as is so prevelant these days. Mrs B is very evidently NOT a "guy"; she has front bumps and everything, as I also commented in my recent review of the Fat Hippo at Durham, where we WERE referred to as "guys". Honestly 🤬 The Dancing Betty; as good as usual, and as welcoming as ever. Don't change. See you soon. Bravo Jamie 🙌🏻🤜🏻 You deserve that beer I bought you,...

Myself and my wife arrived at 15.00 and we were served straight away. Whilst the pub was only about 50% full nearly every table was full of dirty glasses and plates. In the end we had to move the plates etc ourselves onto another table so we could sit down. I spent £33.40 for 2 meals and drinks for myself and my wife. Our meals arrived 32 minutes after ordering which I thought a little excessive. My meal was cold and I asked the waitress to take it away. She was quite rude and I feel needs additional training on how to deal with complaints. I waited another 15 minutes and still hadn't received my meal and asked to see the Manager. As soon as the Manager arrived at 15:50 my food magically appeared. I found the Manager to be very professional in the way she handled the problem. My wife had already finished her meal by this time and of course I ate alone. The Manager offered me an additional drink to eat with my meal and also offered me a full refund (which I refused) . My meal was adequate and served at the right temperature. I would have thought that as my 1st meal had taken so long to cook that the food would naturally have been served hot. I don't think I will frequent the pub again; I just wanted to point my issues out. We left the Pub at 4pm and the tables beside me were still full of dirty plates and glasses.... 1 hour after we...

After waiting 35 minutes for food, my husband received the smallest portion of Mac and cheese no garnish for £12.95 so after questioning the staff she said she would change it. It came back on a different plate with the same amount of Mac and cheese but with 2 slices of garlic bread and a bit salad. I was enjoying my vegetarian dinner until I tasted something strange I took out one of what I thought should be a cheese finger from my sandwich to find it was a fish finger, I was mortified as I’ve not ate fish or meat for over 35 years. I called a member of staff who apologised however I did not feel this was good enough so I asked to speak to the manager. It was indicated to me that the fish and vegetarian fried foods are cooked in the same fats so they are not really vegetarian, she showed me some very small print in the back of the menu which I couldn’t even read. I was even more mortified by this and felt physically sick. I was given my money back for the meal but that doesn’t make up for what I’m going through. The staff were great they were totally embarrassed about the situation. It’s a meal I will never forget and not for good reason. I feel if you offer vegan or vegetarian food it should be trusted to be completely vegan or vegetarian not to be cooked in the same fats as meat or fish. Absolutely disappointed is an...
