Durham Dales Centre Tea Room — Restaurant in England

I used to be a fan of this place - but after today, not any more. The problem seemed to be that they were expecting a coach party in the afternoon. So, they stopped taking lunchtime food orders at 12.55. Yet their own notice at the counter about the famous coach party stated 14.00 as the cut-off time for food orders. The kitchen staff are clearly rather confused about how to read the time. That, or ordinary paying customers like you and me are just not worthy of their attention. Lovely cafe in Stanhope with disabled parking and easy access. A varied selection of food, from breakfast items, scones, quiche, soup, cakes and more. It is counter service, and cooked food is brought to your table by the pleasant staff. Outside seating is also available for those warmer days and there is a toilet inside which is wheelchair accessible, along with toilets outside of the cafe in the Dales...

What can i say! You enter the cafe, sit down, look at the menu then go to order to be told we are closed now. They just sat us down!.. absolutely rude staff.. how dare you turn your back on us.
