Very disappointing! This place is not even worth one star... shocked it can exist in a place, like Stanhope! I paid £5.95 for burger in a bun, with black pudding, sausage pattie, egg and a hash brown. Came in a small box and I knew, I was about to be disappointed... The burger tasted and had the texture of cardboard; (worse than from a kebab shop) and the black pudding was small, too dark (deep fried)? and not a sight of barley!!! The bun, not too bad... I asked for a portion of beans and they came in the smallest tub you can imagine - about a centimetre high and 5 cm across! (I didn’t think they made them so small)!! Purchased a piece of ‘steak pie’ for my hubby, which was minced beef and potato texture, which wasn’t too bad. (£1.80) I asked for some sauce and they gave me one sachet at-a-time of the cheapest Coronet brand, you can imagine... I don’t think it had ever seen a tomato! When I left, I said ‘thank you’ and got no reply. This place serves cheap rubbish and the ‘service’ is none existent!! I felt totally ripped off and will never return, OR recommend! There are not words I could legally use on here to describe how...
Read moreVisited Everyday Cafe today with a group of biker friends . Only the second time I've been this year and I must admit I would like to visit more frequently. It is a popular venue for bikers situated on the main road through Weardale in addition to being welcoming of all visitors. It doesn't have its own parking but there is ample parking on the main road and in a small parking area across the road. The place is clean and inviting. On sunny days, the seats on their south facing footpath are a premium spot as they provide a real Sun trap. The food is tasty and great value whether hot or cakes and the ice cream is tremendous but as a result, be prepared to wait because it is popular. The staff are good natured, chatty and outwardly, always cheery, no matter how busy they are. Always a...

Toasties were piping hot and tasted great! On the way back home a few days later, we stopped off and tried a breakfast sandwich. Had a bacon and egg and again, faultless. Great portion sizes for the food, great and friendly service!
Highly recommend the place - prices are reasonable and plenty of food and snack options. Will make sure to visit again when in the...
