One is a always assured a warm welcome in this family diner. Eddie and his wife work a happy kitchen and a lively restaurant alongside regulars who are well used to the variety of cakes and tray bakes available on a daily basis. Robust main courses are also worth a mention, eg grilled salmon served with mash and veg and the ubiquitous all day breakfast, as well as the odd Polish or Albanian dish such as cabbage soup. A simple toasted bacon sandwich was most satisfactory and went down a treat. Roast dinners are served too. The double espresso is a fine compliment to the well roasted coffee bean. There is also a good selection of tea and cold non alcoholic drinks....but by all means do have a double measure of brandy to warm the cockles...

I've ordered chicken and chips, what a mistake!! The chips were mushy, tasteless, clearly old and not fresh as advertised. The chicken was blend, dry and hard to cut. Both, chicken and chips, had something in common: the greasy taste of an old reused frying oil.
I've tried my best to eat it. I could not do even the half of any of them. I had to bin it, and but the rubbish out since the smell of greasy old frying oil...
