I would thoroughly recommend The Elmwood tea room. We recently had a family gathering there (approx 30 people) and the service was exceptional. David and his colleagues were extremely helpful and catered for our every need. We also hired a room next door to the charming tearoom, which was a useful option, so our family and friends could socialise. The quality of the cream teas were fantastic, the cakes and scones were particularly delicious and the portions were very generous. Not to mention the bottomless cups of Ringtons tea. The waiter was very keen, well-mannered, efficient and welcoming. I asked for a cup of hot water at the start of our visit and he offered a slice of lemon with it.

I had their cream tea special (pot of tea and a freshly-baked-while-you-wait scone) which is very reasonably priced. My husband had a chicken, bacon and brie panini which was served with 2 different fresh salads and was scrumptious. He also had their deluxe hot chocolate.

This was my 2st time here and I must say it was absolutely beautiful, the menu is small as you would expect for "Tea rooms" however there is quite a good range of refreshments and meals to be had, its decor is very calming and it wasn't too busy when I went, (14.30) the service was perfect and the food that came was so tasty, all cooked on premises (of course) and freshly prepared.
