Fratellos — Restaurant in England

Service was not great. Although staff were pleasant, service was very slow, very expensive for what we got, food was nice enough but no side plates for the sharing starter so you just have to get it from plate to mouth using your hand to avoid it going down your top. No steak knives for the steak, and we had to ask for salt and condiments. Drinks - there was NO white wine!! Apart from a couple of glasses left in a bottle that had gone a bit rank, they had no other white wine apparently because of a wedding the previous night.

We ordered a glass of blackcurrant juice for our daughter and it tasted old and nasty - and they charged £2!!! Most places charge 20p for cordial! Also we ordered a child's ice cream - it said 'selection of flavours' but we weren't asked which. When it came out, it was coffee flavour and raspberry flavour with bits. If anyone has a picky child like mine, there's no chance, vanilla would have done! We asked if they had anything different and they didn't.

We waited an age between courses and to get the bill. All in all......

I don't recommend. Although the food tastes ok, it's overpriced and I don't understand why; the food quality is not great, the other guests I was dining with all had problems with their orders and portion sizes are VERY small, some mains are the size of starters. Ordered an Americano, it was like flavoured water - very weak. There was little to no sauce with the seabass in comparison to the website photo displayed on the website.

The consistency is all over the place too; I suggest the chefs meet up and figure it out; as I have been going here several times due to connivence of being a guest at the hotel.

Had to wait more than an hour for our meals.

No guilt whatsoever with getting the waitresses to remove the 12.5% service charge. When I said I was disappointed, I didn't get asked why... normally feedback is appreciated? Or do the staff accept that they normally get this (considering other reviews), hence why I am writing...

Come here to celebrate my Wife's Birthday. To start, Sat at our table and had to wait for at least 15/20 mins for drinks. So by the time waiter came we had chosen our food. We ordered the "Fish Cakes", however only One Fish Cake came out on the plate (need to address there menu). Then had to wait 1hr 30 to 2hr for our mains to come out as I think they forgotten about us because another waiter asked us if we wanted to see the desert menu. When the mains came out eventually, I ordered the 10oz T-Bone Steak (medium) which did not even look like a T-Bone, plus it was over cooked and was like Rubber to cut into, So i sent this back. They now said they have ran out of T-bone and asked if i wanted a different steak (Sirloin) By the time i got this, my wife and son had already finished, so was not happy. To finish this off the steak i recieved was too Salty. So overall not a good service for a First Visit. Won't be eating...
