We booked for a family of 16 as it was a child's birthday and 25th wedding anniversary, we were at 1st given 3 separate tables spread across the room, so then had to ask to be moved so we could be closer, in our booking we asked for 2 high chairs but told we might only be able to have 1 as others are being used and the spare 1 they had has been booked for another booking in 30 minutes time. Then we had to chase staff to get kids menus and wait 15 minutes for them. The toilets were filthy with used hand tissues all over the sinks and floor. They run out of refill glasses so gave 2 family members normal glasses, but when they went to use them they were given a disapproving look by waiting staff, as if they were stealing drinks, then the machine ran out of all drinks apart from diet coke, and had to ask 2 members of staff to refill it. Then another customer tried to sit down at our table, we told him politely that someone was sitting there already and he then swore at us and said where is he supposed to sit !. My son asked him not to swear in front of children and he came over in an aggressive manner, until my son stood up and he realised how big my son was. He was then joined by whom I assume was his daughter and son in law who showed him where their table was, but then they spent the rest of the time staring at us and talking about us, and then complained to a waitress about us !. We heard the waitress say she would take a statement off them, but no one came to us to ask what happened. Then the food was very poor, one of my sons had sirloin steak that was just chewy and inedible, and had loaded chips that was for sharing, but was a tiny portion and dry. And to top it all myself my son and my granddaughter had diarrhoea almost straight away!!. I use your chain of restaurants all the time and have never experienced such an ordeal for something that was to be a special occasion where the family could gather and have...
Read moreArrived here for the breakfast which we knew was tight but it was 10:40 and we knew it was on untill 11. On arrival most of the hot food serving plates were empty and someone came out and started clearing them away. We asked if the buffet was still on as we didn't think it finished until 11. We were told quite abruptly to go and sit down and they'd come and take our order. So we asked is it off the menu or can we still take cereals and help ourselves to juice and coffee. In an even more abrupt manner we were told "I've told you just go and sit down and I'll come and take your order." Still a bit confused I told him you haven't answered the question is the buffet still open or do we have to order from the menu. This time he just glared at us and said "Sit down. I'll come and get an order" turned his back on us and stormed off.
It was supposed to be an all you can eat buffet and we just wanted some clarity as to what was happening whether they'd closed it early or whatever. We really didn't deserve to be spoken to in such an appalling manner. We decided to leave and a waiter came over and started being really apologetic and we explained how rude the chap wearing black was at which he point he came over and again started going on at us telling us we were told to sit down and he'd serve us but still in a really abrupt and disgruntled tone.
I don't think I've ever come across such bad service. If you want to shut the buffet earlier than advertised then fine. Just tell us. We are adults. We can order off a menu but how does that work with an all you can eat buffet. Our grandson thought it was hilarious and keeps telling everyone about the angry man in black but really not sure if that is the memory you wish to leave your...
Read moreWe visited here 2 days ago as a table of 6 and the whole experience was awful. Upon entering the member of staff asked us if we had a booking, which I didn’t quite hear her, I said pardon and she repeated in the most rude tone, which was extremely uncalled for. I didn’t get her name as I noticed later she had turned her name tag round so her name was not visible. We were seated at a table that seemed unclean so we cleaned it ourselves and then there were a huge amount of flies all over the area. When seated we were told that too items on the menu were not available, which is fine and so we avoided these items and ordered our food. On ordering we were then told that the child’s pizza was not available but they could make it on a flatbread which we were extremely grateful for. Our first issue came when we told the same member of staff who greeted us we wanted to order off the 2 for £8.99 menu and then because my partner didn’t use the word for word name of the burger she charged us for a different burger so didn’t give us the deal. I went up to say what we had wanted and ask for a refund and was met with extremely rude behaviour and reluctance to help. When the food arrived it was extremely poor quality and the curry that was ordered did not have to be naan that was meant to be with it. I asked for it to be told it had run out. We asked for a flatbread with it instead which they agreed too and 30 minutes later still did not appear. My parents had flatbread with salad and chicken and there was a tiny amount of off lettuce. The nicest thing we received was my sons pizza. We will never visit this restaurant again and we would highly advise...
