KFC Bristol - Glastonbury Tor Retail Park — Restaurant in England

Am I surprised by the low rating? Not really. No issue with the food.

We visited here as we were staying in the area for a few days. We got back late to our hotel and knew there was a kfc nearby. We walked in and used the machine to order our food, sat down and waited for our order to be called.

Order was placed at 8.34pm. At 8.44pm someone just shouted excuse me? Quite rudely as our food was ready. Can you call this good customer service? My husband went to collect, came back to the table and said we only have 10 minutes to eat as it shuts at 9pm. Begs the question why were even allowed to order to eat in? Surely common sense soon as the order came through before preparation make customer aware? So many flaws.

I said on the door it says 10pm. We double checked. We questioned this with staff and was told that's for the drive through. Sorry, but clearly my psychic ability didnt tell me this. The closing at 10pm sign was on the entrance to the restaurant door (with no mention of this being the drive through only ) - outside said door is a seating area so how can cars see this and how are people ment to know that the 10pm is for the drive through only? We went and asked for a bag as there was no way we could eat our food in that time at no point did anyone say we could stay and eat, maybe to be polite or provide good service? All staff just stood there like we had come from Mars and didn't understand a word we were saying. We put our food in a bag and left.

I know your reply will be that it states online that the closing at 10pm is for a drive through only. We dont all sit with phones and computers attached to us.

We visited because we saw this place the previous day so knew it was there so didn't need to look online. Clearly wish I did as I would have spent my £26 elsewhere instead of cold food, which could have been avoided. Also very pleased I selected the "no tip" option when ordering.

We drove past again when we were leaving this morning we saw the large drive through sign with no mention of opening or closing times. So why is it just on the door where no one can see it?Really unimpressed and even if in the area again will not...

Ordered ahead online to try and save time but when I got there about four staff were loitering outside the door by the drive through, with a bin pulled into the drive through lane; one of them saw me and barked that the drive through was closed. Not sure why that would even be a thing, but okay.

As a result it was very busy and crowded by the counter as most fast food restaurants these days only have one or two tills so can't deal with this many people. The entire facade of the building is glass so it was unpleasantly muggy inside, with the music too loud. Staff announced order numbers very quietly and took forever to put orders together.

When I checked my bags the sides weren't there; I went up to the counter intending to mention it but heard a staff member telling someone else that they were out of most them. Decided to cut my losses and go home rather than spend more energy trying to sort it, only to find the limited time teriyaki burger that was the only reason I went had no teriyaki sauce on it at all. All the food was lukewarm and they had just thrown in random bits of chicken in lieu of the sides. Drinks weren't cold, they didn't even have any ice in them.

This branch is an absolute shambles; I cannot recommend...

My KFC Experience: A Tasty Treat

I recently had the pleasure of dining at KFC, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant—it was spotless.

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome right away. What stood out to me the most was how efficiently they handled a customer complaint I witnessed; they addressed it promptly and with a smile, ensuring the customer left satisfied.

Now, onto the food—the main event! I opted for the Party Bucket, which was a feast in itself. It came loaded with original chicken, mini fillets, hot wings, gravy, beans, and fries—a true treat for the taste buds! The variety ensured there was something for everyone at the table.

I also tried the zinger burger meal, which was packed with flavor and had just the right amount of kick. And let's not forget the large popcorn chicken; those bite-sized pieces of crispy goodness were addictive!

Overall, my experience at KFC was top-notch. Great service, impeccable cleanliness, and delicious food—it's everything you could ask for in a fast-food restaurant. I'll definitely be returning for more...
