I recently just moved to Crewe and have been meaning to try different fish and chips and came across this shop as it was closer of a walk than the ones in town.
I think I came around their busiest time because there was a queue and they ran out of haddock. I ended up getting the large cod and chips as well as the mushy peas.
The large cod was definitely a large (I could’ve opted for the mini portion) and they a generous amount of chips on the side as well. I enjoyed the fish and chips. They were both tasty considering I still had to walk back to my place to eat them. The fish itself was seasoned well even with just salt and vinegar. I surprisingly enjoyed the mushy peas (I asked for coleslaw initially which they do not carry).

The staff are very friendly and have a good relationship with the regulars. Their covid measured seem good enough too. They have 2 serving stations separated by a screen as well as the staff being separated from the customers by a screen. Perhaps an easy way to up the chip game (and possibly gain that extra star) would be to offer...
