AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Absolutely diabolical food and the customer service from the boss is horrific also.

Placed an order of egg fried rice, bbq ribs and chicken rice vermicelli noodles it came to £21.50 with delivery which I’m glad it wasn’t anymore.

The ribs were basically all fat and inedible, the rice tasted like it had been cooked 3 times and just reheated again before putting in the box and the chicken in the vermicelli was like shredded sponge.

My partner rang them and asked for a refund because of how bad the food was and they just seemed annoyed (if the food was edible we would have eaten it). they told her the food is pre cooked but made fresh to order?? How is it made fresh to order if it is pre cooked???

Anyway, they have then rang to say out of the £21.50 we will only be refunded £9 as the food has been touched??? Of course it’s been touched to plate it up because we were going to eat it but realised how bad it was. They wouldn’t refund us for the ribs but refunded us for the other stuff and then said we will be charged £2.50 delivery still for them to deliver out refund????

They’ve then sent the delivery driver out to bring us the refund and take the food back which usually would not happen either so are they taking the food back to re cook and give it to the next person? It wouldn’t surprise me with how the food tasted tbh.

Absolute clowns i will never ever support this place again. And FOOD HUB you need to think about who you take on. FOOD HUB customer serive was shocking supporting me with this order and issues!!! Hour and a half late and then to go out front and speak to the guys nextdoor for them to tell me a food order was delivered to some guys down the street that happened to be a chines was mine so another 15 min until i got my food cold from random people down the street. I complaind and the restaurant asked the driver to call me to tell me they delivered it to me I had to correct her! Joke i would avoid this spot first time iv used them and never again wow shocked get rid of this supplier off food hub its bringing your name down. But food hub couldn’t even help me out with this so both as bad as each other AVOID AND WISH I HAD RED...

I gave this place the benefit of the doubt after my first bad experience, but after more than one bad experience it's fair to say that this is the worst Chinese I have ever had. So putting aside the issues I had with wrong order being delivered and the lack of apology or the fact that even after bringing the correct item after an hour they also insisted on taking back the wrongly delivered item (I shudder to think what they did with it) The main issue I have with HK Diner is that it's just so amateurish, I've bought Uncle Bens stir in sauce that I've made at home that had a more authentic Chinese taste than this flavourless food.
