Such a shame. First visit, looking forward to a nice cuppa and light lunch. Ordered scrambled eggs on toast and my husband ordered pancakes plus tea for two. It took 15 minutes to bring the teas and then another 20 minutes for the food by which time the tea was cold. The pancakes were good but my toast was rock hard as though it had been dried, not toasted and the eggs were pretty solid. Ate about half the eggs but couldn't manage the rest. My husband went to pay while I popped to the ladies. He was all ready to say the toast wasn't edible but the waitress didn't ask if everything was ok. No worries as we won't be going back. I ordered my food with my family and mine took a little longer to make as I sat down 10 mins after everyone else which I didn’t mind waiting I waited until 45 mins at which point my family had finished eating and were wanting to leave I went up to the lady on the till and said everyone else’s has finished their food and I still haven’t got my jacket potato. I’ve been waiting to come here for ages as I heard such great things about it I’m really disappointed on how no one realised after asking kitchen once already that I still didn’t have my food. The cafe is clean and nicely decorated with convenient parking. The food portions are generous and of reasonable quality.

However, when we visited we had to wait 1 hour 10 minutes for food, with no notice of the expected wait or apology once the food arrived. The table next to us, who were already there when we arrived, also waited at least 1 hour and looked thoroughly dissatisfied with their experience. Other tables arrived, received food, and left the cafe in the time that we were waiting.
