Favorite cafe in guisborough by far. Extensive menu but nice and simple options too - it's so hard to just get a sausage and egg bun somewhere these days. Everywhere has ciabatta and avocado and I just really miss what my parents always called "granny cafes ", they're simple and comforting and they're disappearing unfortunately. This place has it all, the basics and also hot meals like parmos, then great desserts and bakes including waffles, excellent chef, excellent polite and efficient serving staff, low music volume, tables nicely spaced apart, everything's clean, nice bathrooms, not to mention it's been modernised but in a cosy comforting way - everywhere seems to be industrial themed now with rustic wood and rock hard metal everywhere, it just doesn't feel appetising or comforting to me. Maybe I'm old fashioned for my age, I don't know! But i really hope this place doesn't follow suit and make it's menu fussy and its decor cold and uninviting. If it stays as it is, they have a customer for life when...
Read moreFood was very good. The prices are very reasonable. We all enjoyed our food. Only had toasties but served lovely on plate with a lovely salad. Was busy through the back so took a while for service hence my review. Took longer to be served but we were not in a hurry. Staff were very nice just we didn't see them as they were in other room busy... That left us with no atmosphere in an empty part of shop and no staff member. I know they were busy so I'm not complain hence...
