Disrespectful bartender at about 13:30 on Saturday 4th October. Telling us if we dont buy drinks we cant stay as it isnt a "social club". It wasnt busy at all otherwise this would be understandable. We went an bought a pint of coke after she said this, then she said we cant just buy 1 pint because there is 2 of us there, making us buy un needed drinks. No manners and just plain disrespect from this member of staff. Black mold In male toilets and on walls near pool table.

Fabulous fresh home made food at reasonable prices. Nothing frozen. Good service. Lovely beer garden for summer. Slightly higher prices on beer than other offerings in town. Well behaved clientele with live bands and enterainment Fridays / Saturdays. Excellent Sunday lunch and weekday specials.

Called in after a busy day shopping 🛍 we had corned beef and potato pie with carrot, turnip and mash. Plenty of food on the plate it was hot and tasty. To finish the meal we had a pot of tea, strong and hot just what we needed to set us up for the walk home. Roaring fire made it perfect.

Stopped here for a pub lunch on a walk with the University of York walking society.||||I was leading a medium walk of 21 people, and had been to hell and back trying to find a pub to accommodate the lot of us. Our original establishment had rejected us, and it was looking as though the group would have to go hungry on the 8km.||||I was about to give up since most pubs weren't willing to take such last minute bookings, but after contacting the Three Fiddles they were more than willing to accommodate us, and provide us with chilli, chips and nachos for the brilliant price of £3.50 a head (cooking 21 pies, for example, would have taken hours).||||It is rare that I encounter such a polite service when booking a meal. Even when we encountered issues with the walk and told them we would be delayed by a couple of hours, the Three Fiddles were incredibly nice about it.||||Needless to say, their hospitality was top notch, as they provided us with a cornered off section and didn't even raise any complaint that we had half the mud of the moors caked on our trousers.||||So overall, a very pleasant experience, and for their service and chilli I would doubtless give them...

2 if us booked a table for Sunday lunch. I have food intolerances. Which means it can be hard for me. I spoke with the owner he is lovely. As they only offer Sunday lunch he offered to ask the kitchen what they could offer me as an alternative. I was impressed that they would do that for me. I opted to just have meat, mashed and roasted potatoes with lots of gravy. When we arrived we were told which table was ours. It was a small table for 2 people. As we were getting our drinks the owner came out and asked if we would care to move to a larger table. We accepted his kind offer. It was just as well as we were joined by another friend who lives in Guisborough for lunch. Everyone enjoyed...
