The food and service was fine - not amazing but fine. However similar to another review below, we too have been caught out by the private car park behind the pub - absolutely no signage to suggest we need to provide the Reg number to the pub nor did the people there ask us if we had parked/for a number plate (and we were literally the only people there eating). Landlords Mick and Helen looked so happy and welcomed us and other guests , with enthusiasm, to their clean and comfortably warm pub. We loved the Christmassy atmosphere! The food was a Sunday lunch carvery of good honest British roast with plentiful veggies and all the trimmings, for an unbelievable £10.
