A lovely setting on the corner of Masham market square especially on a warm summer's day. Here you can sit inside or outside depending on your preference. I ate outside and only took a brief look inside when paying. It looked cosy and comfortable maybe a little dark but it was bright sunshine outside. There is table service from some very friendly and polite staff who were happy to help you make a choice, if needed, from the specials board where there were at six different items to choose from over and above the standard menu. It was quite busy when I was there but service was relatively quick and the food was very good and tasty. Portion sizes were, I would say, on the average size but okay. The prices were pretty good although, a little gripe, I thought that the bottled water was expensive! Again, a lovely place. Great for light bites at lunchtime or teas and coffees, cakes and pastries. A good choice and lovely staff to boot. Would recommend and...

I haven't been to Masham for some time and had a chance last Weekend I visited the historic centre with its market cross It has a well known brewery here and is well supported with a museum and a weel supported town centre Obviously at 11:00 you need food and The cafe named looked the best option We were not disappointed The place ouses atmosphere The food is prepared from local produce and seems to have a very low food milage Its all prepared fresh and very speedily to your table The range is unbelievable Straight forward sandwiches to sausage and bacon to more complex vegetarian dishes to scones soups the list goes on I will return prices are good Well...

No idea what the name has to do with a small North Yorkshire cafe, with internal decoration from Vietnam and other far east countries. However, this IS A CAFE TO VISIT. Great food & wonderful staff. Plus really friendly customers, in the winter anyway. I had the smoked salmon & dill quiche - delicious. I spoke to the couple on the next table, they were local.& used the cafe all the time. The food looked amazing. Deep joy on the faces of everyone. I can recommend the chocolate & pistachio cake. (Had previously as a gift...

Johnny Baghdad's Cafe was fabulous. Great vibe and fantastic food choices. Only had coffee and cake today but looking forward to going back for a meal sometime soon. The coffee was very nice, Americano and warm milk.. (I'm not normally a big fan but this was superb. Accompanied by chocolate and Guinness cake. My friend had sticky chocolate orange cake which was equally excellent. Lovely friendly staff. Cant recommend highly enough. 6 stars 🌟
