Kavali (Cricklade) — Restaurant in England

We recently dined at Kavali with a large group of friends and had an incredible experience from start to finish! We called at the last minute, hoping they could accommodate a big table, and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. They arranged everything seamlessly and had our table ready in no time.

The food was simply amazing—every dish was bursting with authentic flavors, from the fragrant biryanis to the rich curries and perfectly spiced appetizers. Each dish arrived hot, beautifully presented, and the portions were generous.

The service was top-notch as well. The staff were attentive and friendly, making sure everyone was taken care of throughout the meal without being intrusive. They even made excellent recommendations, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Ordered online (a trial of it's own, don't bother searching crazy things like honey chicken, you won't find it - you need to know what category it as, is it a signature dish? A best seller? A chefs special???) and collected from the restaurant. Staff must have been having a bad day, could barely manage a greeting. No worries, food is what's important. But you know, paying £75 (£95 if they deliver!!!) for food, of which £10 is rice (arrived in 2 very small containers!!!), the lamb was so chewy and gristly it was inedible, honey chicken was so dry, and Bombay potato hideously spicy, it's the third time but no more. Just come from Scotland to see my family and we had a table booked for 7:30, we got there just before and was told people were on our table "just finishing up". We said we would go for a quick drink opposite to give them time to finish even though we booked a week in advance for this time. we came back at 8 and the people still had food and drinks on the table and we were completely fobbed off. Quite clearly tried to squeeze a time slot in before us without and actual time for the customers to eat and finish. First time booking here and the way it has been handled has been a complete disgrace. Won't ever touch this place again.
